The sky is blue, the grass is green, and Babar Azam scored yet another fifty. The Pakistan cricket team captain is one of the most consistent batters in T20 cricket history. He scored his 34th fifty in the PAK vs NZ 5th T20I and is now inches away from going past Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the list of batters with the most runs in T20I cricket.
Babar has more than 3800 runs, Rohit has nearly 4000 runs, and Kohli has breached the 4k threshold as well. The Pakistan skipper has more hundreds than Kohli, more fifties, and averages higher than Rohit.

Babar Azam is scheduled to play 7 T20Is in May and then the T20 World Cup 2024. With age and time on his side, Babar will break both Rohit and Kohli‘s records. But whether he does so in the next couple of months or later depends on his form.
