Hardik Pandya first starred with the bat and then returned to the field to offer some advice to his teammate Tim David. With the Mumbai Indians on the rope, requiring 64 runs from 18 balls, David and Tilak Varma needed all the help in the DC vs MI match. During the second time-out, the MI skipper walked out and offered some valuable advice.

The next over, David scored three consecutive boundaries off Mukesh Kumar. He raced from 21(13), after the 17th over came to an end, to 37(16).
For a brief moment, the Mumbai Indians had a flicker of hope. But that was snatched away the very next ball as Mukesh sent Tim David back and then scalped the prized wicket of Nehal Wadhera just two balls later. Tilak Varma valiantly fought alone, scoring 63(32), but it wasn’t enough as MI lost by 10 runs.
