Praise for Pant

Sai Kishore, speaking at the press conference, credited Pant for his brilliant knock.

I think Pant batted really well. Rishabh scored a lot of boundaries of good balls in the middle overs. Not necessarily sixes, but boundaries. I think that got them the momentum,” he said.

In the last few overs, we conceded more sixes than fours. I think the game got a bit out of hand during that moment,” Sai Kishore added.

‘We back ourselves’

Kishore maintained that the GT dressing room have belief in themselves despite having a bad day at the office.

This win would have definitely been morale boosting, and would put us in a commanding position but I think the best part about this team is the belief that everyone carries. In this chase, everyone believed we could pull this off. I don’t know the exact scenario, but we believe we will qualify for the IPL playoffs,” Kishore said.
