As a result, after the match, Stoinis drew huge appreciation from Adam Voges, the cricket consultant of LSG.

Tasked to chase 211 runs, Lucknow Super Giants needed a strong innings from one of their ace batters. And Marcus Stoinis came to the rescue of the visitors. He remained unbeaten on 124 from 63 deliveries, slamming 13 fours and 6 sixes to seal the deal for the Lucknow outfits.

Adam Voges praises Marcus Stoinis

“Marcus Stoinis played an outstanding innings. At the half stage there was the dew and it played a part in the game. In the first half the number 3 position didn’t work well for us. It gave Marcus an opportunity to play and he previously performed well at the top in Big Bash with Melbourne Stars. “ said Adam Voges after the game.

With this crucial win, LSG has leapfrogged CSK to occupy the 4th spot in IPL 2024. LSG now has 10 points from 8 games, winning 5 games on the process.

“He has played some match winning hundreds batting at the top of the order. So to give him the opportunity to bat at number 3, he made the most of it. He has been hitting the ball well through the whole tournament and he has been threatening to do so for quite sometime,” Voges concluded.
