We are just 49 days away from the much-anticipated IND vs PAK clash in the T20 World Cup 2024. With a little over a month left, the outfield at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium is yet to be laid. While the intense encounter between the arch-rivals will take place on June 9, the first match at the New York Stadium will be played on June 3.
Outfield & drop-in pitch yet to be ready
Mel Jones, a former Australian women’s cricketer, shared the latest image of the stadium. From the image’s eagle-eye view, it can be seen that the outfield and the drop-in pitch are yet to be laid. According to the ICC, all things are on schedule. The drop-in pitch is being constructed, and the turfing of the outfield will start next week on April 29.
