Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru ace batter AB de Villiers has slammed the grey areas in cricket. Following Virat Kohli’s controversial out in the KKR vs RCB clash, ABD claimed that these grey areas need fixing. The Proteas great also suggested that ball tracking and other technology must be used so that there is no anger and confusion on the matter.
Virat Kohli once again was at the centre of attention. This time for a controversial dismissal. Virat Kohli was dismissed by Harshit Rana when Kolkata Knight Riders clashed with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. A full toss delivery saw Kohli giving away a catch.
The third umpire claimed that the ball dripping below the waist. And thus subsequently, Virat Kohli was signalled out, and the ace RCB batter left the ground in a fit of rage.
ABD calls for fixing grey areas
Former RCB star batter AB de Villiers has claimed that these decisions need to be corrected. He took to social media to voice out his opinion. The Proteas legend claimed that ball tracking technology along with drawing lines must be used in such situations to clear confusion.
“Grey areas in the game open up room for anger and confusion. It’s not a tough fix this. Get the batter’s stance, draw the lines and use ball tracking. No confusion whatsoever,” wrote AB de Villiers.
