Pakistan does a Pakistan, lose to New Zealand ‘B’ team convincingly

Pakistan's humiliation continues as they lost to New Zealand in a 5-match T20I series. After this loss, the series is level at 1-1.

The Pakistan cricket team has once again suffered humiliation, this time on the field, as they lost the game to New Zealand’s ‘B’ team. They entered the field as favorites but didn’t return as one, as it turned out to be New Zealand’s game at the end of the day.

In the ongoing 5-match T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand, New Zealand convincingly won the 3rd match by 7 wickets as they chased down the target within 19 overs.

Pakistan made 179 runs in 20 overs, but New Zealand’s star batter, Mark Chapman, single-handedly snatched the game from the Pakistani side. After facing on-field backlash due to their poor performance, the Pakistan team is also facing strong reactions off the field, especially on social media. Let’s have a look at a few social media reactions that are going against the Pakistan cricket team.

Pak and Co. need to revamp their plan!

After losing the third match against New Zealand, Pakistan cricket has to revamp its plan. Since it is Babar’s return as a T20 captain, there is huge expectation from him. Pakistan is considered one of the favorites for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Although, looking at their recent T20I performances, things are not favoring these ‘favorites’ odds.

Babar’s intent is under scrutiny

Babar Azam is considered one of the greats of the game. Although his current T20 form is not doing justice to this. In the third match against kiwis, he scored 37 runs in 29 balls with a below-average strike rate of 127.59. If Babar wants to prove himself again, he has to do well in the upcoming clashes with the Kiwis and then the fixtures against Ireland and England.
