KKR vs RCB IPL 2024 Predictions: Odds heavily tilted in favour of hosts at iconic Eden Gardens

The KKR vs RCB clash will live streamed on JioCinema while the live telecast will be on Star Sports Network

Kolkata Knight Riders will host Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 21 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The KKR vs RCB afternoon match will start at 3:30 PM.

Currently, Kolkata Knight Riders hold the second position on the table with eight points, having won four out of their six games. However, their recent encounter against Rajasthan Royals ended in a two-wicket defeat despite Sunil Narine’s spectacular 109 off 56 balls. Narine, along with Varun Chakravarthy, managed to take four wickets for 66 runs in eight overs, but KKR fell short against Jos Buttler’s brilliance.

In stark contrast, Royal Challengers Bengaluru find themselves at the bottom of the table with just one win in seven games. In their previous match, they suffered a 25-run loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad after conceding the highest team total in IPL history. Despite a valiant effort from Dinesh Karthik, who smashed 83 off just 35 balls, RCB couldn’t overcome the daunting target.

KKR vs RCB Predictions

According to Parimatch, the hosts Kolkata Knight Riders are heavily favoured in this encounter, with odds set at 1.71. They have emerged victorious against RCB in four of their last five meetings. With key players like Sunil Narine, Phil Salt, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi in good form with the bat, KKR poses a significant threat. Additionally, the spin duo of Narine and Varun Chakravarthy is expected to trouble RCB’s batting lineup.

Sunil Narine, in particular, has been in outstanding form, amassing 276 runs from six innings this season at an average of 46 and a strike rate of 188. He has also proven to be effective with the ball, claiming seven wickets at an economy rate of 6.87.

On the other hand, although RCB boasts players like Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Dinesh Karthik in great form, their chances of victory are less likely, with odds of 2.3. Notably, Kohli has struggled against Narine in the past, facing 118 deliveries and scoring only 127 runs while being dismissed four times in the IPL.

Keeping all these factors in mind we at Insidesport.IN can predict Kolkata Knight Riders to prevail over Royal Challengers Bengaluru
