However, the win came at a slight cost for the Mumbai Indians. In an official media advisory released on Friday, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) announced that they had fined Hardik Pandya for his team maintaining a slow over rate during the match.

First Offense, Reduced Penalty

As this was the first time Mumbai Indians violated the IPL’s minimum over-rate regulations this season, Hardik Pandya received a fine of Rs 12 lakh. This serves as a reminder to all teams of the importance of maintaining a brisk pace throughout the match.
