Rohit Sharma becomes player with most sixes for MI in 250th match in IPL, surpasses Pollard

Rohit Sharma has another feather to his cap in this Indian Premier League. He surpassed Pollard to record most sixes for MI

Mumbai Indians ex-skipper Rohit Sharma has now broken another record this season. He has hit 224 sixes, the highest for the Mumbai Indians in IPL history. He reached the record after hitting the third six against the Punjab Kings. 

When did Rohit achieve the milestone? 

The feat was achieved in the fourth ball of the 11th over bowled by Harshal Patel of the Punjab Kings. The slower ball by Patel landed deep beyond long-on. Rohit achieved the feat in his 250th match of the Indian Premier League. He has now surpassed the record of Kieron Pollard. The other Mumbai batsmen to have crossed the 100 sixes mark include Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan.

Rohit Sharma’s form in IPL 2024

Rohit has been in incredible form for Mumbai Indians in this IPL. He has amassed 261 runs with a strike rate of 167.31. He has hit a total of 18 sixes in the current season of the IPL and also scored a century. He is also third on the orange cap list, with 297 runs in 7 innings, right behind Virat Kohli and Riyan Parag.
