Sanju Samson
Samson has often been considered one of the unluckiest Indian players, as he hasn’t received many opportunities despite giving his best. Contrary to this belief, he did get a few chances but failed to make an impact.
However, he is making a strong statement this year with his performances. Before the IPL, he scored a century in a must-win ODI game against South Africa, and in the IPL 2024, he is also playing impressive knocks. In seven IPL matches so far, he has scored 276 runs with an impressive strike rate of 155.06. Also, he is proving his leadership skills, as RR is currently leading the points table to date. He is one player who could break into the T20 World Cup squad.
Riyan Parag
Parag’s performance in this year’s IPL has been outstanding so far. In seven matches, he has scored 318 runs at an impressive strike rate of 161.42. He is also steadily climbing up the list of highest run-getters, currently, he is at second place.
There are two different phases for him. In one of his previous years, his mouth was doing all the talking, while this time it’s his bat doing the same.
Apart from the IPL, Parag has also shown consistency in the Ranji Trophy. He scored a total of 318 runs in six innings at a batting average of 75.60. He is also one RR player whom we might see this time in the T20 world cup 2024.
Yuzvendra Chahal
Like Sanju Samson, he has also faced difficulty cementing his place in the Indian team, as he has never played for India consistently. Despite consistently performing well for Rajasthan in recent years, he still hasn’t gotten many opportunities to play for India. However, his performances in this year’s IPL for RR are impressive. The 33-year-old leg-spinner has played 7 matches to date and has taken 12 wickets already, with a decent bowling economy of 8.35.
Chahal has always been an asset for the RR franchise. It is possible that, looking at his form this year, he might get a chance to play his first T20 World Cup in 2024.
