In the recently held game between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders, BCCI fined KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer Rs 12 lakhs of his match fees for breaching the Code of Conduct. GT skipper came under scruitny when for maintaining a slow over-rate during their match against Chennai Super Kings.
The BCCI’s official statement stated that they fined him Rs 12 lakh since it was Gill’s first offense. According to the rule, any skipper repeating this offense will face a fine of Rs 30 lakh and a one-match ban.
Rishabh Pant
Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant has also come under scrutiny as he and his team committed this offense twice. Pant was fined Rs 12 lakh rupees when DC maintained a slow overrate during the game against LSG.
The second instance occurred when he breached the law against KKR at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. BCCI fined him Rs 24 lakh after these two incidents, and he could face a ban if he repeats this offense.
Sanju Samson
RR is playing top cricket this season, having won 6 out of 7 matches and leading the points table. However, their skipper also faced slow over rate issues. Sanju Samson was fined by BCCI as he breached the slow over rate rule. Samson has been handed a Rs 12 lakh fine after his team maintained a slow over rate during the match against the Gujarat Titans.

In a recently held high-scoring thriller game between RR and KKR. KKR skipper Iyer found himself in this situation as he and his KKR team couldn’t get rid of the slow over rate issue. As a result, he received a fine of 12 lakh rupees from IPL organizers.
