Kolkata Knight Riders are gearing up for a highly contested clash as they take on Rajasthan Royals in a top-of-the-table clash. The KKR vs RR match will be played at the iconic Eden Gardens from 7:30 PM IST.
Shreyas Iyer kisses toss coin
Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer has a weird custom of kissing the toss coin before spinning it. The captain believes it brings good luck. iyer being the home captain was handed the coin and he kissed it before the toss. Iyer was caught doing the same against LSG as well but unlike the game, KKR lost this toss. Sanju Samson-led side won and opted to field first.
“Would have loved to bowl as well based on the last game, on how the ball moved around,” said Shreyas.
The KKR skipper also lavished praise on veteran Sunil Narine who is in an outstanding form in IPL 2024 after a bleak outing the previous year.
“Whenever he (Narine) comes in, he is hard to read and he’s got that poker face all throughout, we want him to perform him the way he has. We are playing the same team.” he added.
