Nepalese all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee became the third player to hit six sixes in an over in T20 international cricket. With this record, he joins the elite list along with Yuvraj Singh and Kieron Pollard. The 24-year-old batter made this record in an ACC Men’s T20 Premier Cup match against Qatar. In this innings, he scored 64 runs in just 21 balls and helped the team reach a score of over 200, as Nepal made 210 runs.
Joins the elite list alongside Yuvraj Singh
In the 2007 T20 World Cup, Yuvraj Singh became the first batter to smash six sixes in an over in international cricket. He achieved that feat by hitting Stuart Broad of England. Pollard joined him in the exclusive club in 2021 by smashing Akila Dananjaya for six sixes in Coolidge.
Not for the first time Airee did that!
This is not the first time Airee has smashed 6 sixes. Last year, in 2023, Airee hit six consecutive sixes in the Asian Games against Mongolia.
