Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul addressed the team’s bowling attack woes after their recent loss to Delhi Capitals (DC), offering positive updates on the return of key pacer Mayank Yadav.
Mayank Yadav Injury Update by KL Rahul
While Mayank Yadav‘s absence against Delhi Capitals (DC) was felt, Rahul assured fans that the young speedster is eager to rejoin the squad. “He (Mayank Yadav) is feeling good, he looks good, but we don’t want to rush him. We need to protect his body, he’s itching to go. Need to make sure that he’s hundred per cent (fit) before he comes back in a couple of matches,” KL Rahul said during the post-match presentation.
This suggests Mayank Yadav’s return is imminent, potentially by the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 19th. His return will undoubtedly bolster the LSG pace attack, which lacked penetration against Delhi.
Mohsin Khan Nears Return
There was also positive news regarding left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan, who has been sidelined with a back issue. Coach Justin Langer revealed that Khan has resumed bowling sessions and could be available for the upcoming clash against Kolkata Knight Riders. “He might be available tomorrow, but more than likely – and hopefully – we’ll be looking at the Kolkata game,” Langer stated on Thursday.
