DC finally put an end to LSG’s defending record, registers a clinical win in Match 26

A fifty on debut by Jake Fraser-McGurk led Delhi Capitals to a superb 6-wicket win vs LSG

In what was a remarkable performance, the Delhi Capitals (DC) pulled off a stunning six-wicket victory against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 26 of the IPL 2024 season. Chasing a target of 168 runs, DC displayed superb intent and determination to script a much-needed win at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, April 12.

This win marks a significant moment as Lucknow Super Giants had previously held an unblemished record of defending totals exceeding 160 runs. In all 13 prior attempts, LSG emerged victorious. However, a determined Delhi Capitals batting attack broke the streak, becoming the first team to successfully chase down such a 160+ target against the formidable LSG bowling attack.
