LSG posts heartwarming pictures of Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul in crutches to depict their journey from injury

While Rahul had surgery last year after tearing his quadriceps tendon, Pant had a fatal accident in 2022.

The Lucknow Super Giants vs Delhi Capitals marked a special occasion for Indian cricket lovers as captains of both teams have been in the sidelines for quite a while before making their come back in IPL 2024. Lucknow Super Giants marked the occasion with a heart-warming social media post where both KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant can be seen walking in crutches before posing happily before the game.

Injury a common occurrence for KL Rahul

Rahul had surgery last year after tearing his quadriceps tendon while fielding in an IPL match between Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore. As a result, he missed the remainder of the IPL as well as the World Test Championship final held in June.

After recovering, Rahul participated in the Asia Cup and the World Cup. However, after playing the first Test of the IND vs ENG series, Rahul complained of discomfort in his right quadriceps immediately after the first Test which India lost. He travelled to London so see a specialist and recovered just in time to play IPL 2024.

Rishabh in a terrible accident

Rishabh Pant on the other hand suffered a fatal car accident in Uttarakhand in December 2022 and had been out for over 14 months since. He has also made his comeback in IPL 2024 to lead the Delhi Capitals.

LSG posted a beautiful picture of both of them on their social media handle ‘X’ showing both the captains in crutches. The third picture showed both of them smiling and posing happily together.
