Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Rajat Patidar finally broke free from the shackles of poor form with a well-paced half-century versus Mumbai Indians. Put in to bat first, Patidar walked in after the side lost Virat Kohli early in the innings. Patidar hasn’t been great with the bat for RCB in IPL 2024, his poor form carrying over from the IND vs ENG Test series.
Rajat Patidar’s comeback short-lived
Patidar’s comeback, however, was short-lived as he was dismissed by Gerald Coetzee right after he reached his half-century. In five innings, Patidar has only managed for score 50 runs for RCB in IPL 2024, He scored 50 off 26 deliveries, striking four sixes and three fours. The batter’s knock comes as a handy contribution to the side that has been over-dependent on Virat Kohli.
