The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) head coach Justin Langer has provided a vital update on Mayank Yadav, who was sidelined after bowling just one over against the Gujarat Titans (GT). While LSG went on to win the clash, Yadav complained about soreness in his lower abdominal region.
LSG unearthed a rare talent in Mayank Yadav, who wreaked havoc when he played his first IPL 2024 game against the Punjab Kings (PBKS). The 21-year-old notched up speeds of above 150 regularly and won his side the match with his three crucial wickets. In the next tie, Mayank once again starred, this time, against a potent batting unit of RCB. The young speedster bagged two back-to-back Player of the Match awards and quickly became the talk of the town.

Hopefully Mayank would be available for CSK match: Langer
After two breathtaking performances, all eyes were on Mayank when he faced GT n Lucknow on April 7. However, he was sidelined only after bowling an over. Reports emerged that he will miss a next couple of games due to his injury. Owing to this, Langer revealed the update on Mayank and said that he is likely to be available for the LSG’s clash against CSK.
“We had an MRI and the report confirmed his unavailability for the coming match against Delhi Capitals. Still, hopefully he will be available for Chennai’s match,” said Langer on the eve of LSG’s match against the Delhi Capitals.
