Addressing the incident at the event, Kohli quipped, “People have been disappointed with me as they didn’t like me hugging Naveen.”

Kohli went on to recount another amusing encounter, saying, “(Us din Gauti Bhai ne aake mereko Jhappi daaldi, toh matlab tumhara masala khatam ho gya toh (boo) kar rhe ho.) And then the other day Gautam bhai hugged me. The spice for you people has faded now and now you are booing me.” His playful banter not only showcased his ability to laugh at himself but also emphasized the importance of camaraderie in cricket.
The incident of Kohli and Gambhir hugging each other during the RCB vs KKR match in the IPL 2024 became a significant talking point. The duo had previously engaged in heated exchanges on the field, with Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq being involved in a confrontation during IPL 2023 game between RCB and LSG.
