MI vs RCB Probable Playing XI: MI unchanged, RCB to make two changes as both teams look for 2nd win

Ahead of the MI vs RCB match at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday, let's take a look at how the teams are likely to line-up.

The Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will square off in a highly anticipated match in Match 25 of the IPL 2024. The legendary Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host the match between the two potent squads on Thursday, April 11. Neither team had the ideal start to the tournament; they each only managed one victory and are reeling in the lower half of the standings. Now, MI vs RCB will decide which team wins the second game in IPL 2024.

MI to remain unchanged

Mumbai Indians had a horrible start to the tournament. They endured three straight loss at the start of the tournament with questions being raised on Hardik Pandya’s captaincy. However, they finally found their mojo against Delhi Capitals. Strong batting performances from Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Tim David and Romario Shepherd lit up the tie.

Then Gerald Coetzee weaved his magic with a 4-wicket haul to hand MI their first win. MI are unlikely to change their Playing XI after getting on winning ways.

MI Predicted Playing XI vs RCB

Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Tim David, Mohammad Nabi, Romario Shepherd, Piyush Chawla, Gerald Coetzee, Jasprit Bumrah.

Will Jacks in for Cameron Green, Lockie Ferguson for Reece Topley for RCB

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will have a tough task at hand when they take on Mumbai Indians. RCB lost their previous three games against KKR, LSG, and Rajasthan Royals. Their previous loss against Rajasthan Royals came despite Virat Kohli scoring his eighth IPL ton. Going into the MI match, RCB would want to optimise their squad. Cameron Green has been poor so far in IPL 2024, with the allrounder unable to be among runs for RCB. English all-rounder Will Jacks can come in in place of Green.

RCB are struggling with their bowling quite a lot, giving away too many runs. Reece Topley has not been in form at all, and it might finally be time for Lockie Ferguson to step in and take charge of RCB bowling.
