The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have received a boost with the arrival of their young replacement spinner, 16-year-old Afghan sensation Allah Ghazanfar. The teenage sensation joined KKR squad for IPL 2024 late on Tuesday night.

Allah Ghazanfar joins the KKR squad as a replacement for the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who was ruled out for the entire IPL 2024 season.

Despite his young age, Allah Ghazanfar has already impressed on the international stage, showcasing his talent at the recent U-19 Cricket World Cup.

The young spinner has already represented Afghanistan in two ODIs and three T20 matches. He has also featured in six List A matches, picking up a total of nine wickets across these formats. Ghazanfar was acquired by KKR for his base price of INR 20 lakh.
