Ahead of PBKS vs SRH clash in IPL 2024, Mohali’s Deputy Commissioner, Aashika Jain, has designated the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium and its surrounding areas in Mullanpur as a ‘no flying zone’ on April 9, 13, 18, and 21 due to IPL 2024 matches. Under Section 144 of CrPC, formal orders have been issued, prohibiting any aerial activity during these specified dates.
The stadium, now Punjab Kings’ new home venue in the IPL, pays homage to Yadavindra Singh, who represented India in a solitary Test match in 1934, being the offspring of Maharaja of Patiala, Bhupendrasingh Rajendra Singh

Having previously hosted their matches at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali, Punjab Kings commenced their Mullanpur stint with a triumphant outing against Delhi Capitals on March 23. They are slated to play four consecutive matches at Mullanpur against Sunrisers Hyderabad (April 9), Rajasthan Royals (April 13), Mumbai Indians (April 18), and Gujarat Titans (April 21), before concluding two remaining home games in Dharamsala.
