After opting out of IPL 2024, Harry Brook slams 69-ball 100 in County cricket for Yorkshire

Brook on fire

His knock put Yorkshire up to 246 for 6, but rain had other ideas and forced the game to be canceled, leaving a draw. The England star batter decided not to play in the 2024 Indian Premier League after his grandmother passed away.

On April 8, just before torrential rain, Brook hit a century off just 69 balls to put his team in a respectable position. Smacking 14 boundaries and two sixes against Leicestershire, he amassed an undefeated hundred off 69 balls. Yorkshire were able to declare at 246 for 6 in their first innings thanks to the centuries from him and opening batsman Adam Lyth. The game was eventually canceled due to rain after Leicestershire scored 26 goals without losing.
