CSK vs KKR: Injury concerns for Chennai Super Kings, Deepak Chahar, Pathirana injured, Mustafizur & Shardul Thakur returns

Chennai Super Kings have made 3 changes to their Playing XI. In the CSK vs KKR clash, ace pacer Mustafizur Rahman is back for the Yellow Army. However, Deepak Chahar is injured as Shardul Thakur replaces him. On the other hand, Matheesha Pathirana is injured and thus misses out on the encounter.

“Good toss to win. It looks humid, expecting dew tonight, so we will bowl first. Hasn’t dented our confidence, we have lost by small margins. Everyone is confident in our group, but we have had forced changes. Definitely looking forward to getting a win in this game. They are playing a good brand of cricket, we want to keep things simple and want to focus on ourselves. Pathirana is not available, Mustafizur is back. Deepak has a niggle so he misses out, Shardul comes in and Rizvi comes back,” said CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad at the Toss.

Injury Concerns for CSK

The Chennai Super Kings face a perilous situation. Deepak Chahar misses out the game with a niggle. This will be a big worry for CSK especially in the opening and the closing stages of the innings. Matheesha Pathirana too is unfit to play the game.

But the good news, Mustafizur is back in the squad after missing the last game. In place of Chahar, lord Shardul Thakur has joined the Playing XI. CSK has also added a star finisher in their mixes with the likes of young Sameer Rizvi.

Chennai Super Kings Playing XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad(c), Rachin Ravindra, Ajinkya Rahane, Daryl Mitchell, Sameer Rizvi, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni(w), Shardul Thakur, Mustafizur Rahman, Tushar Deshpande, Maheesh Theekshana

Chennai Super Kings Subs: Shivam Dube, Moeen Ali, Shaik Rasheed, Mitchell Santne, Nishant Sindhu
