Delhi Capitals have lost four matches out of five in IPL 2024. The team has collectively failed in their batting and bowling as well. Of course, Rishabh Pant has been good on his comeback, but a player alone cannot win matches. Now with a sizeable number of matches over for the DC, they have another problem coming up.
Star all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury. DC assistant coach Pravin Amre confirmed of the same after the MI vs DC match. “A few of our players are injured, and the worrying sign is Mitch Marsh,” Amre said. “He has gone for a scan and the physios will give us a report in a week’s time. Then we will come to know what the exact situation is. Whether he can [play the entire season] or not depends on the reports.”
Kuldeep Yadav to Miss More Games
On the other hand, chinaman Kuldeep Yadav is also certain miss more matches for DC. Amre expects the spinner to miss “one or two games” more. Having said that, Mukhesh Kumar will be back for the next match. “We have to start winning but have been set back by a few injuries.
“In the first game, Ishant [Sharma] couldn’t bowl two overs. Then Mukesh got injured. Kuldeep has not played three games. Marsh has a hamstring injury. They are our main players and whoever comes [in for them], they are not as effective because it is like A players vs B players there.”
