IPL 2024: Three changes RCB should make to break its losing streak

In the ongoing edition of IPL, RCB has so far played four matches and have lost three matches.

IPL 2024: The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are struggling big time in the ongoing Indian Premier League. So far, RCB have only managed to secure victory in one out of their four matches, facing defeat in the remaining three. RCB are slated to face Rajasthan Royals next on April 6 (Saturday). Ahead of the match, let us take a look at three tactical changes that RCB should make to break its losing streak.

Inclusion of Will Jacks

The Bengaluru franchise might be tempted to include the English batter, Will Jacks in their playing XI. So far, RCB have kept their faith in Cameron Green as the Aussie all-rounder has been given repeated chances. However, Green has failed to deliver so far. Jacks has the reputation of scoring runs at a brisk pace. His inclusion in the playing XI might give RCB the added oxygen in the batting department.

Spin to win?

RCB bowling has been very ordinary in the ongoing edition so far. None of the Bengaluru bowlers including their prime pacer Siraj has failed to deliver so far. The Red Army has the option of boosting their spin department instead of going with three pacers. Apart from Glenn Maxwell and Mayank Dagar, RCB should give the leg-spinner Karn Sharma a long run in playing XI.

Demoting foreign stars

Despite having a star-studded line-up of foreign players, RCB batting has flopped this year. Apart from Kohli, the bulk of the scoring is being done by the Indian batters like Rajat Patidar, Anuj Rawat, and Mahipal Lomror. The RCB camp should think to give the finishing job to the foreign batters. Demoting the likes of Maxwell and Green in the batting order might bring more clarity of role for these star batters.
