Probable wicket-keeper options for India in T20 World Cup 2024

Check out probable wicket-keeper options for India in T20 World Cup 2024.

The conundrum concerning India’s first-choice wicket-keeper for the upcoming T20 World Cup, is appalling to an extent. Given the fact that IPL is going on, importance will obviously be given to the current form of the players. On that note, let us take a look at some wicket-keeper options for India in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

WK options for India in T20 World Cup

Rishabh Pant

Back in the competitive cricket, Rishabh Pant has started his IPL campaign in some style. The left-handed batter has smashed back-to-back fifties in the ongoing edition. To note, Pant suffered a horrific accident in December 2022 which kept him out from the action. However, the left-handed batter is back now and looks to retain his spot in the playing XI of India for the T20 World Cup.

Ishan Kishan

Another Southpaw on the list, Ishan Kishan is a strong contender for the wicket-keeper role in the Indian contingent. The left-handed batter has the ability to clear the ropes quite easily. In IPL 2024, Kishan has not shown his best as yet but things can turn around very quickly for him.

Sanju Samson

Samson has not done enough to repay his supporters’ faith in him, and although his ODI statistics are quite impressive, his T20I numbers have hit an impasse. However, Samson will look to do well in the ongoing IPL and try to seal his spot in the T20 World Cup.

KL Rahul

KL Rahul might be selected as a wicket-keeper option for India in T20 World Cup. The right-handed batter is an experienced campaigner and he might play a crucial role in team’s success in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Currently, Rahul is leading Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL.
