IPL 2024 Rumour: Unhappy Rohit Sharma to leave Mumbai Indians after rift with Hardik Pandya – Report

IPL 2024: Hardik Pandya was handed over the reigns of Mumbai Indians in December last year, during the IPL Auctions.

There are a lot of speculations going on, regarding Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya, this year. Ever since the 30-year-old took over from veteran Rohit, fans and experts have largely come to a conclusion that all is not well in the MI camp. To add to that, the team has succumbed to three consecutive losses in as many matches under Hardik.

Plus, the constant Hardik vs fans is not making it easy for the team. Now, as per a fresh rumour, Rohit will leave the team after the end of the season. News 24 Sports claims that the India skipper won’t be part of MI anymore after IPL 2024, since he’s not happy with Pandya’s captaincy.

MI’s Woes

Rohit Sharma vs Hardik Pandya?

The report further suggests that the main reason for the rift is MI’s under par performance. Both the senior members of the team are not on agreement on various on-field decisions, which shows in the overall results as well. Even the dressing room atmosphere is being affected due to the same.

Time for Another Rumour

The report also shed light on, how Rohit is once again being considered for the role. But not without Hardik being given two more opportunities to prove his worth. This is not the first time that such a rumour surrounding Hardik and Rohit has surfaced this year, but the chances of any of them coming true, seem negligible.
