Cricket fans are certainly known for their unwavering passion and support. However, during the recent IPL clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday, a spectator became an internet sensation for a reason entirely unrelated to the cricket action.
A photograph of a girl circulated on social media, where she was seen holding her phone while sitting at RCB’s home venue. Upon closer inspection, it became clear she wasn’t following the enthralling match but rather, revisiting an episode of the iconic sitcom ‘Friends’. You can watch the viral post below:
The image sparked a wave of reactions online. While some found it amusing, others sympathized with the woman, suggesting that perhaps RCB’s poor performance in the season thus far might have dampened her enthusiasm for the match.

RCB endures another poor start in an IPL season
RCB’s IPL 2024 campaign has gotten off to a rocky start, leaving their fans scratching their heads. In four matches played so far, they’ve only managed to clinch one victory, putting them in a precarious position in the points table.
While Virat Kohli has been firing at the top, the batting hasn’t consistently clicked as a unit. Moreover, their bowling has been unimpressive once again, with likes of Mohammed Siraj, Alzarri Joseph, Karn Sharma and Yash Dayal proving costly.
With a crucial phase of the tournament approaching, RCB needs to find a way to turn things around quickly. They’ll need significant contributions from players beyond Kohli and hope that their bowling attack gels well soon.
