Big blow for LSG! Shivam Mavi ruled out of IPL 2024 with injury

Mavi was picked up by LSG for a whopping amount of INR 6.4 crore at the auction last year but didn't play a single game for the side.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) suffered a major setback as their fast bowler Shivam Mavi has been sidelined for the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). The franchise announced this news through a social media video. Despite being acquired by LSG for a significant sum of INR 6.4 crore at last year’s auction, Mavi did not get the chance to play a single match.

Shivam Mavi’s injury resurfaces:

Mavi has been grappling with injuries since August last year and has not participated in any competitive matches since then. Although he was initially included in India’s Asian Games squad, he had to withdraw due to a back injury. Subsequently, LSG acquired him at the auction with hopes of his contribution to the team.

Unfortunately, an injury has now ruled him out for the entire season. LSG are yet to find a replacement for him.
