As per Pakistan media publications, the selectors have commenced discussions over the selection with Babar Azam. The announcement is expected to be made by April 5, as they await the final fitness reports of the players training at the Army camp in Kakul.
As per reports, Shaheen Afridi is all set to miss a part of the series against NZ, owing to PCB’s directives related to workload management. Meanwhile, Haris Rauf – who is yet to recover from an injury sustained during PSL – will not be a part of the NZ series and will continue rehabilitation. He is considered to be an integral part of the upcoming campaigns, including the T20 WC.
