PBKS’ Livingstone suffers hamstring injury during LSG match, another ENG departure on cards?

LSG vs PBKS: Liam Livingstone has played two matches in IPL 2024, and has scored 55 runs so far in the tournament.

Something seems to be up with English players in the ongoing IPL 2024. Some missed the tournament due to personal reasons, the others on ECB’s insistence, and now an injury to PBKS batter Liam Livingstone. During the PBKS vs LSG match on Saturday, the hard-hitting batsman suffered a hamstring injury while fielding in the deep.

The incident happened during the ninth over of Lucknow’s innings, when Rahul Chahar was completing his over. While fielding in the deep, Livingstone showed signs of discomfort and soon stepped out of the park.

Another ENG Player to Leave IPL?

Just recently, David Willey headed back to home due to personal reasons, and became the fifth England player to pull out of IPL 2024. The likes of Jason Roy, Gus Atkinson, Harry Brook, and Mark Wood withdrew from the tournament for various reasons.

While the extent of Livingstone’s injury is not known, if at all he is declared unfit, he could be on his way back as well, raising concerns for the Punjab team.
