The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are set to battle in the 11th Match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The much-awaited encounter will be played at the BRSABV Ekana Stadium on Saturday, March 30.

Last LSG vs PBKS match saw over 458 runs getting scored

Interestingly, the last time these two teams met was in Match no. 38 of IPL 2023, which was an absolute run-fest! LSG scripted history as they posted a gigantic total of 257/5 in their allotted 20 overs.

It all started with a quick-fire 54 off 24 balls by Kyle Mayers, Although KL Rahul (12) went early, Ayush Badoni was promoted up the order and smashed 43 runs. However, the ultimate carnage came from Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran, who both added 76 runs in only 29 balls. While Stoinis hammered 72, Pooran bludgeoned a 19-ball 42.

Arshdeep Singh and debutant Gurnoor Brar bore the brunt of LSG’s assault as they leaked 54 and 42 (in 3 overs), respectively.

LSG then followed it up with a decent bowling performance, picking up two PBKS’ wickets inside four overs. While Atharva Taide (66) did well to score his maiden IPL fifty, he failed to find any able ally from the other end.

Yash Thakur was the pick of the bowlers for Lucknow as he took his career-best IPL bowling figures of 4/37. Naveen-ul-Haq also bagged three wickets as LSG restricted PBKS to 201, thus scripting a huge win by 56 runs.

Overall, the last encounter between LSG and PBKS was a thrilling high-scoring match, with LSG emerging victorious on the back of a phenomenal batting performance.
