Cricket fans attending the IPL matches at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium are advised to carefully review the guidelines issued by the city police to ensure a smooth and secure experience.
The city’s joint commissioner of police (Law and order) Upendra Kumar Agarwal issued a press note on Friday.
What You Can and Cannot Bring at Ekana Stadium
- Leave coins, earphones, and flammable materials at home – these items are strictly prohibited.
- You can carry your purse, mobile phone, and essential items.
- Outside food and drinks are not allowed.
Parking and Traffic Regulations Ekana Stadium
- A detailed parking map is available online and displayed at the stadium. Follow designated parking areas to avoid inconvenience.
- Only vehicles with official parking passes will be allowed inside the stadium. Others will be directed to designated parking areas outside.
- Even police and stadium staff must have parking permits to park inside the stadium complex.
- Illegally parked vehicles will be towed or clamped.
Ticketing and Entry for IPL 2024
- Tickets will not be available for purchase at the stadium on match days. Collect your tickets a day in advance.
- Only hard copies of tickets and passes will be accepted for entry. Digital copies will not be valid.
- Gates open three hours before the match starts. Entry closes after the middle of the second innings.
- Re-entry is not permitted. Once you leave the stadium, you cannot re-enter.
- A temporary pick-up and drop-off zone will be located behind the UP-112 headquarters for private vehicles and rickshaws.
Where to Get IPL 2024 Tickets
- Offline tickets can be purchased from outlets near Phoenix Palassio Mall, Tilsim Store (Hazratganj), BBD Badminton Academy, Vintage Machine (Summit Building), and Hazratganj Metro Station.
- Online ticket sales are available through BookMyShow with an option for home delivery.
Additional Tips
- Download and scan the QR code on your ticket to access a detailed parking map.
- Security personnel accompanying VIPs will not be allowed inside the stadium.
- Parking areas are designated, and only ticket holders will be allowed entry to the stands.
