Did Suryakumar Yadav hint he’s making a return to IPL 2024? Deleted post has proof

Suryakumar suffered an ankle injury during the India tour of South Africa in December last year and has been out of action since.

Hardik Pandya may soon find his smile. After being handed the Mumbai Indians captaincy and losing two games on the trot to begin the IPL 2024 season, the all-rounder could finally get a boost. World No. 1 T20I batter and MI’s best player, Suryakumar Yadav, is potentially making his way back from the NCA to the franchise.

In what is now a deleted Instagram story, the 360-degree batter hinted that he’s finally been declared fit. The right-hander is currently under rehabilitation in Bengaluru and shared a black image with a loading sign on it, indicating his potential return to the Mumbai Indians.

Why Hardik Pandya needs Suryakumar Yadav

Mumbai Indians have chased twice in IPL 2024 and lost both of these encounters. The 360-degree batter was MI’s best batter in the last season. He scored over 600 runs at 43 while striking at 181. These freakish numbers may never be repeated. But if anyone can do it, it’s Surya himself.

In his absence, Pandya has been forced to play Naman Dhir at No. 3. While the 24-year-old has impressed, one can imagine that if SKY had played in either of these two lost matches, the result could have been different. If he returns, there’ll be no happier man than the Mumbai Indians skipper.
