Redemption? Yuzvendra Chahal makes case for T20 World Cup squad with special spell in RR vs DC

RR vs DC: Yuzvendra Chahal impresses for Rajasthan Royals with superb bowling spell, keen for Team India return

Axed from the India Cricket Team, Yuzvendra Chahal is now ready for his redemption. The ace produced a brilliant spell in the RR vs DC clash, thereby making a case for his return in the National Team. And with the ICC T20 World Cup fast approaching, the BCCI Selection Committee will be keeping a close eye on the RR spinner.

Yuzvendra Chahal is seeking a comeback in the Indian Cricket Team. He last played a T20I match when India toured West India back in August of 2023 ahead of Asia Cup. Following the trip to Caribbean, Chahal hasn’t featured in any game for the Men in Blue.

But with the ICC T20 World Cup drawing near, Chahal is keen to fight for a return. And he did so perfectly with a brilliant spell against Delhi Capitals. Chahal didn’t have to bowl his full quota of 4 overs. He bowled 3 overs, giving away just 19 runs and scalping two important wickets of Abhishek Porel and Rishabh Pant.

Chahal’s impressive form in IPL 2024 will be key for his selection. If he continues to perform well for Rajasthan Royals he will make a strong contender once again to partner Kuldeep Yadav in the Indian team.
