Riyan Parag unleashed a carnage to help his side, Rajasthan Royals pile up a big total of 185 runs against Delhi Capital. But the highlight of the match goes to the last over the game. The young RR batter hammered 25 runs against Anrich Nortje to score his highest T20 score – 84 unbeaten.
It takes huge guts to hammer a bowler of Nortje’s quality. But Riyan Parag wasn’t afraid. In fact the youngster went on to go bang bang on the Proteas pacer. He slammed 3 fours and 2 sixes in the final over to amass a total of 25 runs in the final over along.

19.2 – Four – Another four from Parag. A short length delivery and Parag gets on top of it quickly and dispatches it over mid on for back to back boundaries.
19.3 – Six – Riyan Parag on a song! Nortje pitches the ball outside off and Parag dispatches it over long off for a massive sixer.
19.4 – Four – Boundaries galore! Full length delivery and Parag decides it cleverly place it away from Rishabh Pant for a four.
19.5 – Six – Riyan Parag slams the 2nd six in the over as RR cross the 180-run mark. Short ball and Parag pulls it away to the stands.
19.6 – One – Not a perfect finish for Parag. But the damage has been done. He ends the over with 25 runs.
“It’s a result of a lot of practice. It’s not the bowler but the ball he’s bowling and I could execute a lot of shots tonight. I have my options ready both sides of the wicket, that’s what I’ve been doing lately. I back myself too. Sanga and Sanju bhaiyya came in and told me to do it deep, knew I’d go big at the end. It’s been tough, I am a bit emotional right now. But it’s been a lot of work. Backed myself, practiced a lot, seeing the fruits of it now,” an emotional Riyan Parag said after his innings.
