IPL 2024: KKR’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman ruled out, LSG net bowler Keshav Maharaj finds new team

Mujeeb had missed the ODI and T20Is against Ireland earlier in the month and has now been ruled out. Meanwhile, Maharaj is already present in India and will join his new team soon.

Rajasthan Royals have decided to rope in Lucknow Super Giants net bowler Keshav Maharaj as a replacement for their pace bowling spearhead, Prasidh Krishna, for the remainder of the IPL 2024 season. Meanwhile, the Kolkata Knight Riders have announced a like-for-like replacement for the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

To fill the hole that mystery spinner Mujeeb left, KKR has decided to bring in another Afghani spinner, Allah Ghazanfa. The 16-year-old made his international debut earlier in the month against Ireland. The right-arm spinner has been picked up at his base price of Rs 20 lakh by the Knight Riders.

Keshav Maharaj, who had been traveling with LSG, was not officially part of the franchise for the 2024 season and therefore has been picked up as RR for Prasidh Krishna, who recently underwent surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon and is ruled out of the 17th edition of the IPL.
