MI hammered by SRH
Mumbai Indians had a forgettable outing on Wednesday as Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen all hammered half-centuries to post the highest ever total of 277 runs for SRH. MI were on course during the chase, scoring runs at brisk pace, but fell behind in the final overs.
The MI dressing room must have been heartbroken after the 31-run loss, but Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and MI skipper Hardik Pandya aimed to lift the spirits of the team by their powerful words.
Let’s stick together tighter: Sachin
Sachin, in his speech chose to count the positives, saying they batted extremely well.
“In the second half, in spite of scoring 277, 10 overs down the line, nobody knew who was a clear winner. The game was very much open. The target was very much achievable. That’s a clear cut sign that we’ve batted really well. So let’s stick together tighter. There are going to be tougher moments, we’ll stick together as a group and pull it through,” Sachin said.
Proud of our bowlers: Hardik Pandya
Hardik heaped praise on the MI bowlers, saying he was proud of them for not shying away from responsibility in spite of being in the eye of a storm.

“Toughest soldiers get the toughest tests. And we are the toughest team in the competition. Anyone who could have come even close to where we reach, as a batting group or as just overall Mumbai Indians, was us. Something I’m really proud of is our bowlers. Even when the day was tough, I didnt see anyone running away, everyone wanted the ball. And that’s a good sign. So let’s make sure we help each other throughout. Whatever happens, worst, bad, good, we’ll manage it together,” Hardik said.
