Rishabh Pant is standing on the brink of a major milestone as Delhi Capitals gear up to take on Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Thursday, March 28th. Rishabh Pant will become the first Delhi Capitals player to play 100 IPL matches for the franchise. The keeper-batter is making a comeback to competitive cricket after a 14-month lay off due to a road accident.
Pant’s IPL career
Rishabh Pant made his IPL debut in 2016 for the Delhi Capitals and has since been involved with only one team. Since 2016, he has missed only one IPL season, the IPL 2023, when he was recovering from the fatal car accident he suffered in December 2022.
Pant has played 99 games in IPL up till now, scoring 2,856 runs at an average of just under 35. However, the Southpaw carries a healthy strike rate of almost 148 which makes him a desirable commodity in T20 Cricket.
