MI Playing XI vs SRH: No respite for Hardik Pandya; Kwena Maphaka replaces injured Luke Wood

Mumbai Indians are already missing. Suryakumar Yadav, Jason Behrendorff, and Dilshan Madushanka are already out injured.

Injury woes continue to trouble the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Hardik Pandya. After winning the toss and deciding to field, the newly appointed MI skipper revealed that their left-arm pacer, Luke Wood, will miss out on the MI Playing XI vs SRH after getting injured. He also announced that the South African pace bowling sensation, Kwena Maphaka, who lit the Under-19 World Cup 2024 on fire, will make his IPL debut today.

Ishan Kishan (wk), Rohit Sharma, Naman Dhir, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Tim David, Gerald Coetzee, Shams Mulani, Piyush Chawla, Jasprit Bumrah, Kwena Maphaka.

Impact Substitutes: Dewald Brevis, Romario Shepherd, Mohammad Nabi, Vishnu Vinod, Nehal Wadhera.

Mumbai Indians injury woes continue

After losing their best batter, Suryakumar Yadav, for the first few matches and their two left-arm overseas picks, Jason Behrendorff and Dilshan Madushanka, out of the IPL 2024 season, Hardik Pandya and co. have suffered another injury blow. Luke Wood, an English left-arm pacer, has been ruled out of the SRH vs MI, with Kwena Maphaka, another southpaw pacer, taking his spot.
