Former India chief selector K Srikkanth is might impressed, just like others, with Shivam Dube. The southpaw was in sizzling form in CSK vs GT, smashing the fastest fifty in IPL 2024. Srikkanth notes that Dube has improved on his game over the years and is reaping the reward for the work he has put in.
CSK vs GT: Srikkanth mighty impressed with Shivam Dube
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Srikkanth jokes that Shivam Dube smashed the ball to different parts of Chennai around the Chepauk stadium. He notes that the southpaw is able to handle bouncers very well now. Further, he predicts that other teams will now fear putting up their spinners against Shivam Dube after his dominating knock in Chennai.

Below average GT bowling attack
Srikkanth takes a dig at Gujarat Titans’ bowling line-up and claims that the team can never win with such feeble bowling options. He further says that the Shubman Gill-led side just got lucky against MI in their opening game of IPL 2024.
The former India selector also questions the intent of GT batters as they chased the mammoth total. Citing the knocks of Sai Sudharshan and Vijay Shankar, Srikkanth claims the batters were playing a Test match rather than a T20. Srikkanth further says the absence of Shami and losing Hardik Pandya cannot be substituted for by GT no matter who they field in their spots.
