IND vs AUS Test series from Nov 22, MCG to host Boxing Day Test, Check full schedule

India and Australia will meet in a 5-Test series for the first time since the 1991-92 season

Australia are preparing to welcome India for a five-match Test series in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The much-awaited Test series will begin on November 22nd in Perth. For the first time since 1991-92, the IND vs AUS Test series will be over five matches.

Furthermore, the series is crucial in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle, with India and Australia presently holding the top two spots, respectively.

Perth will host the series opener from November 22 to 26 with the action then moving to Adelaide and Brisbane. Adelaide will host the second Test from December 6-10th, which will be a day-night match, adding to the excitement. Brisbane will host the third Test before the action travels to Melbourne for the famous Boxing Day Test. The series will conclude in Sydney with the New Year’s Test, keeping with the long-standing traditions of the Australian cricket calendar.

SCHEDULE FOR IND vs AUST TEST SERIES (BGT)

  • 1st Test – 22nd to 26th Nov, Perth.
    2nd Test – 6th to 10th Dec, Adelaide (D/N).
    3rd Test – 14th to 18th Dec, Gabba.
    4th Test – 26th to 30th Dec, MCG.
    5th Test – 3rd to 7th Jan, Sydney.

India has asserted its supremacy over Australia, winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy four times in a row. In addition, they have won the last two Test series in Australia, becoming the only Asian side to win a red-ball series on Australian soil. However, Pat Cummins’ team defeated India in the World Test Championship final in London in 2023.

India Women’s Team to play Australia in 3-match ODI Series:

Alongside the Men in Blue, the Indian Women; ‘s Cricket Team will also play a 3-match ODI Series against the Australia women starting from December 5th at Allan Border Field. The 2nd ODI will be on 8th December, ending with the third on December 11th at the WACA. Additionally the first and third will be Day-Night ODIs.
