IPL 2024: Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma lauds batter’s splendid display in RCB vs PBKS

There were a lot of contrasting opinions regarding Kohli's place in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup in June. However, the innings put all doubts about his inclusion to the team to bed.

Virat Kohli on Monday played a gritty innings to hand his team Royal Challengers Bengaluru their first win of the IPL 2024 campaign. Kohli’s 77 off 49 balls paved the way for RCB in their chase of 177 runs against Punjab Kings. Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma took to social media after the match to laud Kohli’s performance.

Kohli became the talk of the town once again when he became the first Indian batter to have 100 50+ scores in T20 cricket. The batter, opening the innings, played some wonderful shots in a tricky wicket to lay down a platform for RCB’s finishers to take them over the line. Kohli had to be patient to get back in form, having had a disappointing outing in the IPL 2024 opener against Chennai Super Kings.
