‘Virat Kohli is King of Kings’: Ex-India selector awestruck by RCB star’s rhythm, fitness

Ex-India selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth points out that Virat Kohli's running between the wickets got RCB the extra runs needed for a win

Former India selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth is over the moon after Virat Kohli’s stellar innings against PBKS. The batting maestro turned back the clock as he played a whirlwind 77-run knock to set the stage for RCB to romp to victory. Srikkanth is in awe of Virat’s ability to run between the wickets at this age.

‘Virat is King of Kings Kohli’

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Srikkanth notes that PBKS committed a grave mistake by dropping Virat Kohli on zero in the second delivery. He lauds Kohli’s running between the wickets and the ability to convert ones into twos and twos into threes.

The way Virat (Kohli) finds his rhythm, the way he plays authentic cricketing shots, there is no risk at all. To try and change the bowler’s length, he steps out of the crease. He then plays varities of shots. Look at the way he runs between the wickets, that too at this age. He is converting ones into twos and twos into threes. The team gained about 15-20 runs because of this, which ultimately proved to be very useful for them. Hats off to Virat Kohli. Why wouldn’t you want to call yourself King? You are King of Kings Virat Kohli,” Srikkanth said.
