Sanju Samson’s crisp fifty brings joy, fans say ‘Perfect example of captain’

Sanju Samson has smashed 99 sixes since IPL 2020, the most by any batter in that time period

Sanju Samson, captain of the Rajasthan Royals (RR), led by example against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Sunday (March 24). After openers Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal left early in the powerplay, it fell to Samson to guide his side to a respectable total.

Samson and Riyan Parag, who was just promoted to the fourth place in the RR squad, formed a strong connection that troubled the LSG bowling attack. The India hitter struck a brilliant unbeaten 82-run knock off 52 balls, as RR set a 194-run target for LSG.
