Huge mistake: AB de Villiers unsure about MS Dhoni stepping down as CSK captain

Dhoni has led the team in 235 matches, the most wins (142), and the most titles to his name (5).

MS Dhoni has decided to step down as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper. At 42, it seems like the right time for him and the franchise to move on and hand the mantle to someone who can lead the side in the coming years. Some lauded the decision, while others remained skeptical about Ruturaj as CSK’s new skipper.

IPL and RCB legend Ab de Villiers is also uncertain about his decision. Speaking on JioCinema, he labeled the call to step down as a poor decision. He said:

“I will be honest. I feel MS Dhoni stepping down as captain is a huge mistake.”
