Imad Wasim smoking? After fifer in PSL Final, Pakistan spinner ‘caught smoking’ in dressing room

A 'player of the match' candidate in the PSL 2024 Final, Imad, was caught smoking. His act could land him in trouble with the PCB for violating their rules.

Imad Wasim was on an all-time high. Just moments ago, the all-rounder had taken a magnificent 5-wicket haul, the first by any player in a PSL Final. Amid all the plaudits, the Islamabad United player was caught smoking after leaving the field after the 17th over in the PSL 2024 Final.

Having claimed the prized wickets of Yasir Khan, Johnson Charles, David Willey, Khushdil Shah, and Chris Jordan, all seemed to be going his way. But the spinner decided to do something controversial. During the holy month of Ramadan, the star all-rounder was caught smoking in the Multan Sultans dressing room.

Will Imad Wasim be reprimanded by the PCB?

The star all-rounder could very well find himself in trouble soon. According to ICC rules and regulations, cricketers are prohibited from smoking or drinking in the dressing room. This means that Imad Wasim can face some serious heat from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) despite his stunning performance in the PSL 2024 Final.

Having already retired from international cricket, the PCB can’t reprimand him by banning him from playing, but they can fine the all-rounder for disregarding the rules and regulations.
