No bad blood! Hardik Pandya & Rohit Sharma join hands for MI’s official IPL 2024 anthem

No bad blood! Hardik Pandya & Rohit Sharma join hands for MI’s official IPL 2024 anthem

The anthem is a rehashed version of the Mumbai Indians' last year's anthem, 'Mumbai Meri Jaan'. However, the biggest difference between the two is the addition of Hardik Pandya as the franchise's skipper.

The Mumbai Indians (MI) have released their official anthem for the upcoming IPL 2024 season. The anthem titled ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’ features every single member of the squad, along with mentor Sachin Tendulkar and owner Nita Ambani.

The anthem sung by famous Indian musician Shaan is similar to last year’s anthem. However, the inclusion of some new members, with the biggest one being Hardik Pandya, has made it even better. The 1:32-minute-long video features Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, and Arjun Tendulkar, among others.

With rumors of a rift between the former and current captain swirling around, the Mumbai Indians have quashed such claims, with Pandya and Rohit featuring in the anthem together. The two MI superstars can be spotted sitting side-by-side at the end of the video, with the whole squad around them.

Rohit Sharma, being a former 5-time champion, has received an equal amount of time in the anthem as current skipper Pandya. The choice seems the right one by the Mumbai Indians, following their fans’ displeasure with Rohit being removed as captain last year.
